About "A Mini Christmas Album"

[Yamada] I recorded this CD at Piano Haven Recording Studio in Kenmore, Washington. Piano Haven is owned and operated by fellow solo pianist and composer Joe Bongiorno.

[Yamada] I played a Kawai RX-7 grand piano. Piano Haven uses this 7'6" grand piano for all of their world-class piano recordings. The Kawai RX7 at Piano Haven is the exact same year and model that I have in my living room, so I felt right at home at Piano Haven!

[Yamada] I was originally planning to do a full-length Christmas CD this year. Unfortunately a family medical emergency this fall threw my world into complete turmoil. But I decided to release these six tracks as a "mini album" this holiday season to share what I had with all of you.

[Yamada] I will be performing at two "Whisperings" Chirstmas concerts in December 2010. The first will be in Portland, Oregon on Friday, December 3rd. The second in the Seattle area on Sunday, December 5th. Both concerts will feature pianists David Nevue, Joe Bongiorno, and myself. We will be playing holiday favorites along with original compositions inspired by the holiday season.
